BLENDING INSTRUCTIONS:
1K: If used as mono-component product, the product is ready to use.
2K: If used as two-component: blend at the ratio of 10% with YC—M403. For brush application,
dilute also at 5-10% with tap water or slow drying additive AY—M450.
Alternatively, blend at the ratio of 12% with YC—M404. For brush application,
dilute also at 5-10% with tap water or slow drying additive AY—M450

SUBSTRATE PREPARATION:
Clean well the surface, removing all traces of oil, wax and resins. Fill up any scratches as well as the joint parts with the filler YL—M574, which must to be blended with saw dust. Once drying is completed, sand the piece (using 100-150 paper grit) which will have to have no signs of oiling, waxiness or cissing. Vacuum clean before starting the varnishing cycle. In case application must be done on stained material, low-solubility stains must be uses such as the ones of the TY M003 series to avoid excessing basecoat fading. It is recommended to use the specifically for laminate YL M574 hardened at 4% with YC M403 (see technical data sheet of the product).
APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS
BY BRUSH APPLICATION:
It is recommend to blend at 5- 10% with YC M403 introduced under stirring (possibly mechanical) and
blended vigorously for a minute. The first coat should be thinned at the ratio of 5% with tap water. In summer season we recommend to replace tap water with water based retardant AY M450 to improve flowing. After 4 hours, manually sanding with 150-180 paper grit,or with mechanical method with 180-220 paper grit. Clean the surface with a vacuum cleaner and apply the second coat (product shall be blended at 10% with YC M403). After 2-4 hours, apply a third coat of product. Sanding between second and third coat is not
required. The use of the basecoat YL—M574 as first coat reduces the solubilisation of resins and oil contained in some wood (iroko,merbau)..
BY ROLLER APPLICATION:
The same instructions except for using water or AYM450 by an additional 5-10% more for all application steps
RESTORING ALREADY TREATED:
you case you need to re-coat a pre-treated floor with other varnishes (old flooring with paints of
unknown nature or water-based paint left to dry for more than 24 hours), the use of a hardener is mandatory.
CATALYSIS(HARDENING):
the water-based self-sealer YO xxM838 is usable for about 4-6 hours after being hardened (catalysis), after which time it needs re-preparation.
GENERAL REMARKS:
-Mix well before use.
-If properly stored at temperatures between 5 and 35°C, shelf life is 12 months
– On application the temperature of the product, the substrate, the coating and the working environment should never fall below
15°C. Coatings applied at lower temperatures will show chemical and mechanical properties lower than standard performances
that can be normally achieved.
– Coating left over (washing waters, waters from spray booths, used coatings) must be disposed of according to local regulations.
Never dispose residues directly into drains.
– Application tools must be cleaned with water after use. When dry films must be removed, AY—M460, special detergent should
be used, letting it work overnight and then cleansing with water
